This is a rare species of horned dung beetle native to South America. It is truly a jewel of an insect, with a deep sapphire-like purplish-blue color and luster.

〜About Shipping〜

Pinned specimens are generally fixed in a simple specimen box made from processed Styrofoam and a plastic container for shipping. Upon arrival, we recommend transferring them from the simple box to a wooden specimen box. We will pack carefully to prevent damage, but rarely, parts may come off due to vibrations during transport. We cannot offer compensation in such cases. Please purchase only if you are able to perform repairs to some extent yourself or are willing to accept this risk.

Note: Insects vary greatly in size from large to extremely small species. Especially for small insects, even after inspection, there is a slight risk of overlooked defects or damage during transport. Due to the nature of specimens, there may be invisible factors affecting their quality, such as internal decomposition or processing methods at the collection site. Please tolerate minor errors in size. Detailed species names will only be provided when known. We are not experts in all insects, so identification errors may rarely occur.
