A uniquely shaped species of scarab beetle from Guatemala. The thoracic horn is densely covered in hair, giving it an animal-like appearance depending on the angle.

~About Condition Grading~

A1: Excellent condition, no missing parts or damage.

AA-: Very good condition with slight damage, such as a tiny chip on a tarsus.

A2: Obvious damage present.

B: Not suitable for specimen collections. Usable for art projects or as parts.

Unchecked: Specimens that have not been inspected; condition varies.

~Regarding Shipping~

Spread specimens are generally shipped secured in a simple specimen box made from processed Styrofoam and a plastic container. We recommend transferring them to a wooden specimen box upon arrival. We pack with great care to prevent damage, but parts may occasionally come loose due to vibrations during transport. We cannot provide compensation for such occurrences. Please purchase only if you are capable of minor repairs yourself or if you accept the inherent risks.

Note: Insects range from large to very small. For smaller insects in particular, there is a slight risk of overlooked missing parts or damage during transport, even after inspection. Due to the nature of specimens, there may be invisible factors affecting quality, such as internal decay or the processing methods used at the collection site. Please allow for slight margins of error in size measurements. We only list species names when they can be definitively identified. As we are not experts on every insect, identification errors can occasionally occur.
